တံတွေး

Burmese

Etymology

According to MED, from တံ (tam, limpidity; liquid) +‎ တွေး (twe:, to think, consider), though STEDT instead considers the second syllable to implicitly be a non-aspirated variant of ထွေး (htwe:, to spit), which appears much more semantically reasonable.
