Usage notes
This term is primarily used the CPC in mainland China, as well as the DPP, albeit for different reasons; the CPC does not recognise the legitimacy of the Republic of China, while the DPP considers Taiwan to be an independent country separate from China, and use 臺軍 to indicate that it is referring to the Taiwanese and not Chinese military. The KMT normally uses 國軍 instead.
