-а́стий • (-ástyj) m (feminine -аста, variant -атий)

1. adjective-forming suffix, added to nouns (especially body parts), indicating having the property of that noun, particularly to a large extent

   ‎зуб (zub, “tooth”) + ‎-а́стий (-ástyj) → ‎зуба́стий (zubástyj, “toothy”)

   ‎грудь (hrudʹ, “breast, bosom”) + ‎-а́стий (-ástyj) → ‎груда́стий (hrudástyj, “busty”)

Note the following properties:

• The suffix depalatalizes a final palatalized consonant of the root.
• The adjective formed by the suffix is frequently colloquial in nature.

• -и́стий (-ýstyj)
