Aeolian mode

Aeolian mode (uncountable)

1. (music) A mode whose scale is the same as a natural minor scale, with the interval pattern:

   tone - semitone - tone - tone - semitone - tone - tone

   Starting on the note A, this produces a scale with the notes A, B, C, D, E, F, G, A
