Etymology
Named from the family of the English inventor and entrepreneur Richard Arkwright (1732–1792), whose son Richard Arkwright junior (1755–1843) purchased Sutton Scarsdale Hall, a stately home in nearby Sutton Scarsdale, in 1824.[1]
