It was posed by Henri Brocard in a pair of articles in 1876 and 1885.

Brocard's problem

1. (mathematics) The problem of finding integer values of ${\displaystyle n}$ and ${\displaystyle m}$ for which ${\displaystyle n!+1=m^{2}}$, where ${\displaystyle n!}$ is the factorial.
