Etymology

Borrowed from Ukrainian Енергода́р (Enerhodár) Literally, energy's gift. From Ukrainian енергія (enerhija, energy) and дар (dar, gift). From being a settlement built to support workers building and operating the co-located Zaporizhzhia thermal power station, later also the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant; for the city of Zaporizhzhia, and thence Southeast Ukraine and Crimea.
