Hasdingi
Latin
Etymology
From a Germanic language, with the second element being from Proto-Germanic *-ingaz. The first element is of disputed meaning, but may potentially be from *hazdaz (“hair”), a root otherwise unattested in Gothic and Vandalic. Compare Old English heardingas, Old Norse haddingjar, referring to a Danish tribe.
