Etymology
From *lordskā, from Proto-Indo-European *lord-sk-eh₂, *lord-sḱ-eh₂, from *lerd- (“crooked”),[1] + *-ākos. Cognate with լորցք (lorcʻkʻ), Greek λορδός (lordós, “bent backward”), Proto-West Germanic *lort (“crooked”).
