antingen
Swedish
Etymology
From Old Swedish annattwäggia, from a compound of annat (“other”) + tväggia (“genitive of tver (“two”)”), literally “the other of the two”. The change of the middle syllables to -ing is probably from analogy to various words ending with the suffix -ing.
