- (Philippines, folklore) an evil vampirelike ghoul spirit from Philippine mythos which impedes childbirth or causes miscarriage via its very long thin tongue that reaches the pregnant woman's uterus which the husband may drive away via swinging a sword or knife in the air until the woman gives birth
