Non-Sino-Vietnamese reading of Chinese / (SV: tần), as in 頻婆/蘋婆 (tần bà).

Borrowed from Middle Chinese / (MC bjin) in 頻婆/蘋婆 (MC bjin ba), either early - when chongniu-III vs. chongniu-IV distinction did not manifest yet as palatisation in Chinese or could not yet be represented as palatalisation in Vietnamese -, or late - when said distinction had been lost.[1]
