big back

English

Etymology

This term originally started as a British slang term for a person, especially a woman with large buttocks. That became a AAVE term as well with Sir-Mix-a-Lot's song made in 1992, "Baby got Back." [1]

But then this AAVE term became more derogatory when a radio shockjock Charlamagne Tha God made a reference to ReesaTeesa'a highly viral "Who TF Did I Marry?" series on the popular social media app TikTok. [2]

He called it "big back behavior."

Noun

I got the last new spicy chicken sandwich at the restaurant because all these big backs kept ordering it.
