dl trade (plural dl trades)

  1. A cis, straight-passing, masculine man who seeks out sexual pursuits with trans women and/or gay men, mostly always secretly, given that he is not confident in his sexual identity yet and has not come out to those around him. Most often keeps his sexual affairs with gay men and/or trans women a secret and typically treats them with little respect.

Usage notes

Distinctly used in gay and queer slang, primarily amongst African-American trans women, but has become popular amongst gay men and non-black queer people.
