Etymology

Perhaps an alteration of fandango,[1] equivalent to fandango +‎ -le (diminutive suffix); or influenced by dangle.

Alternatively, Geoffrey Dearson, in The Devonshire Dialect Dictionary (2022), suggests a blend of fandango +‎ bangle.
