  1. (anatomy, muscles) (toxicology, venoms) An involuntary muscle twitch, usually localised and temporary, but that may be intensified and prolonged fatally by particular poisons and venoms such as acetylcholinesterase inhibitors.
  2. A cluster of fascicles.
  3. The process of becoming fasciculate, of growing together in clusters of fascicles.
