höra av sig (present hör av sig, preterite hörde av sig, supine hört av sig, imperative hör av sig)

1. (reflexive) to get in touch, to reach out, to contact

   Vi hör av oss när vi börjar närma oss

   We'll call you [for example] / get in touch [hear from ourselves] when we [start to] get closer [to the destination – think a trip to someone]

   Har Nisse hört av sig än?

   Have you heard from Nisse yet? [Has Nisse heard from himself yet?]

   Om jag inte hör av mig så kan ni fixa det själva. Ni behöver inte vänta på mig.

   If you don't hear from me [if I do not get in touch / "hear from myself"], you can take care of it yourselves. You don't have to wait for me.
