Usage notes

This word is found on the Stele of Irtysen (Louvre C 14), line 11; another possible attestation on pBM EA 10735 is debated, with the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae instead reading it as jmt-kꜣp (rafter).

The second glyph of the word is unclear; Faulkner and the Wörterbuch silently correct it to

, but in the original text it is more sickle-shaped and opens upward. The slip from which the Wörterbuch entry was compiled notes that it ought to be

based on its position and size.[1]
