1. An underground or indoor service road and loading bay.

     Trafiktunneln och lastfaret utgör vanligtvis en mindre del av en trafikled eller ett lokalt gatusystem.

     The traffic tunnel and the underground service road usually constitute a small part of a traffic route or a local street system.

     It is of course an advantage if as much loading and unloading as possible can, in the longer term, be carried out on private property or in dedicated underground loading bays. A more short-term solution is to arrange loading zones on the street adjacent to businesses with extensive deliveries.

• A lastfar is generally located underground or at least indoors, but in some cases, the term is also used for similar features that are outdoors and above ground. For such cases, see lastgata, which is the more common term.
