Etymology

From Proto-Albanian *en-pāginja, from Proto-Indo-European *peh₂ǵ-. Cognate with Ancient Greek πήγνυμι (pḗgnumi, to make firm, to make stiff), Latin pangō (id), Gothic fahan (to catch).[1]
