Etymology
Verb-object compound, composed of pixa (“pisses”) + pins (“pines”). Supposedly coined in the 1960s to refer to urban tourists to the Costa Brava who, caught in long traffic queues back to the city, resorted to urinating in the local pine forests.[1]
