The inflection is more similar to Norwegian Nynorsk rydda (or rydde in case of use of split infinitive common for Trøndelag dialects), than to Norwegian Nynorsk rydja. Because of it, this word may be considered as influenced by Danish rydde (see also Norwegian Bokmål rydde).
