From Proto-Albanian *ratsa, from *rat(i)tsa, from pre-Albanian *róth₂iḱom, diminutive of Proto-Indo-European *Hrot-h₂-ó- (“wheel”), from *Hret- (“to roll”) (compare Lithuanian rãtas, German Rad).[1] Plural formation of rrath.
