Etymology

From soppi +‎ -al. The suffix -i, already present in the base verb, regularly follows the added suffix -al, resulting in the compound suffix -ali.

  1. to change sth into sth
  2. to transform sth into sth

Usage notes

Always takes two objects (ditransitive). The base verb soppi is used as the monotransitive counterpart as in “to change sth”.
