    En stöddig kille gick runt och muckade gräl med alla på festen
    An overconfident cocky guy was walking around picking fights with everyone at the party
    Jag borde spelat på en enklare svårighetsgrad. Jag blev stöddig.
    I should've played on an easier difficulty level. I was overconfident.
  3. (dated) big, strong, sturdy
    Han tog sig en stöddig öl ― He had himself a big ("stout") glass of beer

Usage notes

Has masculine connotations (perhaps stemming from (sense 2)), so mostly used about men and boys.
