  1. (intransitive) To don a suit, such as a spacesuit or a formal suit.
    • 1983, Gregory Benford, Against Infinity:
      Each day for three weeks they suited up and went out to the module and fed it.
  2. (transitive) To clothe, to put clothes on (someone).
