Etymology
Inherited from Ottoman Turkish تخمینا (taḫminā)[1][2] or تخمیناً (taḫminen, “as an estimate, about”),[3] from Arabic تَخْمِينًا (taḵmīnan) adverbial accusative of تَخْمِين (taḵmīn, “guess, speculation”), verbal noun of خَمَّنَ (ḵammana).[4]
