Etymology

Compound of tash (moment (now)) +‎ ti (-arily), cognate to Albanian tash (now), tashi (id), tesh (id) and ndashti (at/in this moment). From Proto-Albanian *to-su, locative form of pronominal stem Proto-Albanian *to- (resp. Proto-Albanian *ta ̊).[1] From Proto-Indo-European *to- (it). Cognate to Lithuanian tadà (then, thereupon) and Sanskrit तदा (ta-dā́, then).
