Cognate with Northern Khmer ปิฺญ, Mon ပေၚ် (pɔiŋ, to be full, complete), Bahnar 'bĕnh (full), Pacoh pânh (full), Khmer ពេញ (pɨñ, full, complete) and Thai เพ็ญ (pen, full).
