Borrowed from Philippine Spanish tiangui, from Mexican Spanish tianguis, from Classical Nahuatl tiyānquiztli (it is a street market; marketplace), perhaps through an unsuffixed possessive form, cf. amotiyānquiz (it is their street market; marketplace).
