Ce symbole doit avoir un glyphe semblable au tilde (~), mais la documentation d’Unicode l’a montré erronément sens dessus dessous. Certains systèmes d’exploitation, notamment Microsoft Windows, montrait le glyphe incorrect selon Unicode. Pour éviter ce problème, on utilisait plutôt ～ (U+FF5E). Unicode a corrigé cette erreur en 2014[2][3].
