How to map

Draw the area where the animals are kept and apply the tag landuse= to it.

Besides the main tag landuse= the following sub-tags can be used for further refinement:

animal_keeping=*<animal>, where <animal> means the name of the animal (English singular form). If more than one species is kept, provide a semi-colon-separated list, e.g. animal_keeping=sheep;cow .
animal_keeping:type=*=open_stable/paddock/...

`landuse=` `animal_keeping=horse` `animal_keeping:type=open_stable`	An open stable for horses. In the UK the term open stable is rather unknown, because for some legal reason these are non-existent there. Somewhat similar to a `field_shelter` — sometimes called a free barn. Contrary to an open stable the facilities within the area (e.g., feeding stations, watering places, etc.) have to be moveable.
`landuse=` `animal_keeping=horse` `animal_keeping:type=paddock`	A paddock for horses, sometimes called pen or corral. Also valid for the open-air area of a paddock box. For the closed area of a paddock box see `building=stable`. For pasture use `landuse=meadow` and preferable `meadow=pasture`.

If the boundaries of paddock or open stable and any surrounding farm yard are unclear, consider using landuse=farmyard for the whole area instead.

landuse=meadow is commonly used for areas of meadow and pasture for livestock grazing
landuse=farmyard is commonly used for areas with farm buildings, including stables and barns, and is sometimes used for cattle yards, paddocks, and livestock pens.
farmyard=stockyard is an area used to temporarily hold livestock, generally with many fences
