Undiscussed and virtually unused tag with too generic naming for the intended specific meaning.

An individual laundry dryer which is available for public use. It's almost always a part of a laundry room. You should tag the laundry area with shop=laundry, and you can optionally tag the individual dryers with amenity=.

This tag is currently not widely used.

For campsites, people often tag the campsite with washing_machine=yes and/or dryer=yes. See Proposed_features/Extend_camp_site. Those tags are widely used.

Not to be confused with amenity=washing_machine.

How to map

Place a node node at the location of the dryer with the tag amenity=. Do not tag private dryers!
