Port area handling commercial traffic.
Note that for ports serving people sailing for an entertainment we use leisure=marina. Marinas are typically outside industrial areas and therefore outside industrial= areas.
Ports or parts of ports serving passengers, without cargo traffic may require a different tag such as commercial=port as such areas may not qualify for landuse=industrial.
How to map
Draw the outline of the harbour area and add
landuse=industrial(obligatory)industrial=name=*seamark:type=harbourseamark:harbour:category=*

| Container terminal | cargo=container

Port:type
To distinguish different port types.
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| seaport | "Normal" port (implicit) |
| dryport | Inland port directly connected to a seaport, where can be performed customs operations |
| deep_water | The water depth can allow berthing of bigger vessels |
| inland_port | On river or lakes |
Multiple values handling
If you need to assign multiple values, consider modifying the tags as the following example:
cargo=container;general
becomes
cargo:container=yes + cargo:general=yes ,
see example in office=logistics.
Alternative tagging on a node
If the port area cannot be clearly specified, only one node should be set. Since the key landuse cannot be applied to a node, one should use harbour=yes and the seamark tags instead.
