Events

  • The English river Exe is dammed, preventing all passage by ship to the (former) port city of Exeter.[1]
  • The moderate, Toreador-backed Pope Celestine III dies, and is replaced by the shrewd and domineering Innocent III.[2][3][4] Innocent III crowns Otto of Brunswick Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, and begins to expand the Patrimony of St. Peter.[5]
  • Innocent III officially recognizes the Teutonic Order, making them a legitimate military order.[6]
  • Caritopulus bani Flambeau has an experience with a non-Hermetic mage which leaves him shaken, and he puts a call to the rest of the Order to systematically wipe out all potential magical enemies. His report is not taken seriously.[7]
