Events

• The Mameluke Baybars I becomes Sultan of Egypt. He begins a purge against "idolators", which hits the Followers of Set hard.^[1]
• Civil war erupts among the Mongols. Kublai Khan is challenged by his brother Ariq-boke, who believes that the life in the conquered cities makes their people weak. In the shadow of the conflict, four wu of the Yellow Emperor Court travel northward and attack holdings of the Black Tortoise Court. When they are captured, they claim to have only hunted akuma. The ancestors of the Court instead believe that their southern neighbors want to claim their territory and a bitter Shadow War follows.^[2]

• An extra Hermetic Tribunal is scheduled to be held in preparation for the Grand Tribunal in the following year.^[3]
