- 1348-1350. The Black Plague kills a third of Europe's population. Many Hermetic magi survive, but the plague devastates their support structure and sours Sleeper attitudes to mages.[2]
- The Great Caern, a powerful caern of cooperation, is built this year by Wendigo, Uktena and Croatan Theurges in what will eventually become Vancouver. [4]
- End of the War of the Dust Witch. Depredations by a sect of elemental sorcerers endanger trade and crops of Great Zimbabwe (southern Africa). In response, local magi form the Ngoma and Madzimbabwe sects.[5][6]
- The last conflicts of the Massasa War dry up.[7]
- By this year, the newly-invigorated Hippocratic Circle is battling the plague in public hospitals.[8]
