  • The Boli Zouhisze (Chinese Glass Walkers) ally themselves with the British East India Company after a long period of suffering at the hands of Wyrmish forces that had taken power during the rise of the Manchus in China. The Boli Zouhisze will end up smuggling opium for the company.[1]
  • Joseph von Reismann, descendant of Wolfgang von Reismann, is born.[2]
  • The Cumberland lands at Rarotonga, hoping to convert some of the natives. Anne Butchers, girlfriend of the captain, gets upset and literally throws a Bible at an old tuhuna. The natives kill and eat her.[3]
