  • The municipal workers of Baltimore begin to strike. The God-Machine uses parts of the work interruptions to construct new systems within the city.[1]
  • A Guardian of the Veil named Labrys publishes the Labrys Workings, where he apparently has contact with the Custodiae, entities that protect the Realms Supernal and might have a link to the Banishers.[2]
  • Robert Francis Kennedy is murdered by the Palestinian Sirhar Sihan while campaigning in Los Angeles.[3]

January

  • The largest women's march since 1913 takes place in Washington, D.C., to protest the Vietnam War and the limited rights of women.[4]
  • The Tet Offensive in Vietnam demonstrates that the Vietnam War is far from won, galvanizing the anti-war movement in the US.[5]

February

  • February 27: The traditional "Burial of the Mask" before Ash Wednesday is observed in Sittard, the Netherlands. The night lasts one hour longer than normal, according to mages and the Unchained. State Mine Maurits is now only one day and twenty-three hours older than it is.[6]

April

  • April 4: Martin Luther King, Jr., is assassinated. In Washington, D.C., riots break out that last for six days.[7]
  • April 11: President Johnson signs the Fair Housing Act to prohibit discrimination in the sale, rental or financing of housing.[7]
