  • The Bangladesh genocide is conducted by Pakistani militias and supporting Islamist militias.[1]
  • Oskar Kiss Maerth publishes The Beginning Was the End, a pseudo-scientific book that claims that humanity evolved through cannibalism and and that the eating of brain tissue caused the human brain to grow so much that they developed latent psychic abilities and were driven insane, destroying themselves through a compulsion to violence, rampant breeding, racial integration and miscegenation.[2]
    • While the book was not critically acclaimed and lots of details may have been wrong, some Hunters theorize that the Slasher phenomenon may be connected to some of Maerth's theses
  • Mobutu Sese Seko officially changes his country's name to Zaire.[3]
  • The Lodge of the Fallen Idol abandons its official secrecy and begins actively recruiting.[4]
