  • Roman Emperor Diocletian declares Mithra a "protector of the Empire."[1]
  • An Ahl-i-Batin murshid visits Cairo and acquires an ancient papyrus detailing the ancient Transformative Arts of Khem. Taking the manuscript back to Samarkand, he begins teaching the art of al-Khem (literally "the Khem," later known as alchemy).[2]
