- Artaxerxes IV is poisoned by Bagoas, like his predecessor. Bagoas selects a cousin of the imperial line to succeed him. When Darius III resists him, Bagoas tries again to poison him. Darius is warned and forces the eunuch to drink his own poison.[1]
- Philip of Macedon is assassinated by his bodyguard, leaving his son Alexander III as King of Macedon and hegemon of Greece.[1]
