  • Proclus, a proto-Fortunae magus, is appointed head of Plato's Academy.[4]

389 CE

  • Great Library of Alexandria burned, purging records of Thothmes II, his Reed of Thoth and the Cupbearers of Isis.[5] Despite the best efforts of Seshati consor Donatia (who dies rescuing scrolls from the Library)[6], many Hermetic and other magical texts are also lost.[7]
