Abandoned Warehouse

The Abandoned Warehouse is a warehouse in the Downtown LA area. It had been abandoned for quite some time, and had fallen into disrepair; a large section of the roof was missing. It was occasionally used as shelter by the area's homeless population.

In late 2004, it was the site of a brutal killing by the Southland Slasher, with beheaded victim Sean Milton's body impaled on some exposed rebar.

Background Information

• There's an Easter egg in the warehouse: if you find Milton's head and get it through the basketball hoop on a nearby wall, you'll hear a crowd cheering, and then a coach blowing a whistle.
  • Rather than fighting against Source physics to try to throw the head into the hoop, it may be easier to hold on to the head (and not let go), and then jump while standing directly in front of the hoop, such that the held head passes through the hoop at the top of your jump.
• If you use the noclip console command and pass through the outer wall, you can see the Last Round rendered with a sign indicating the bar's original name: the Exhaust Pipe.
• Passage next to the warehouse is blocked by a panel truck, until you're on the Fun With Pestilence quest, and you've heard from one of the nearby homeless about Tin Can Bill. Then the truck will vanish, allowing you to walk further down the alley to find Bill. It's not certain how the truck managed to get out of the alley.
