Accorri Giovanni
Accorri Giovanni is an 8th generation Anziani of the Giovanni clan.
Biography
Accorri Giovanni had been a powerful man in life, and he was immeasurably stronger in death. One of the youngest of the Anziani, Accorri is nonetheless under the thumb of his elders from Venice. The dark-haired vampire has resided in New York ever since the city was founded, and although he is a valuable asset in the Giovanni activities in the United States, his loyalty to his own legacy and descendants sometimes takes precedence over his loyalty to the clan as a whole. Despite this, he is a devoted adherent to the Giovanni ideals of neutrality, reaping the fruits from the conflicts between the vampiric sects.
In modern nights, Accorri made a case for the Embrace of his ghoul and great-great-grandson, Primo Giovanni to their elder, Diego Giovanni. However, Diego did not agree to give Accorri the right to Embrace directly but instead suggested that his own great-grandchilde, Gianmaria Giovanni, could Embrace him instead. The whole situation changed when, during their meeting, the vampires discovered that Kay Polerno (who was soon to receive the Proxy Kiss from Isabel Giovanni), had killed Primo after he attempted to rape her. Upon hearing this, Accorri could not contain his Beast and immediately broke Kay's neck, which prompted a physical confrontation with Isabel herself. The pair did not come to blows, however, since Diego stood between them.
Diego explained that Primo was not dead, just severely injured, and he commanded Accorri to give Kay Polerno the Embrace, while Isabel would give Primo Giovanni the Embrace. Each sire would be saddled with a disliked and distrusted neonate – the last people they would enlist for treachery against their fellows. Also, each neonate would be bound by loyalty to the very family members they would most want to betray. With a little bit of protest both Accorri and Isabel agreed to their master's reasoning.
