Adepts

Primarily composed of immigrants, the Adepts were a faction of Unchained Tempters active following the God-Machine's withdrawal from Kostantiniyye in 1453.[1]

Numbers having swelled with an influx of Spaniard Jewish immigrants in the wake of the Alhambra Decree of 1492, the Adepts became a fierce rival to the Eagles faction, which was composed primarily of natives of the city.[2] They repeatedly attacked the Eagles' power structure until the birth of a new faction, the Mediators, which formed for the purpose of ending the fighting.[2]
