Mysterious rituals that are researched and practiced by the Ancient Order of the Aeon Rites.

The Rites

The Aeon Rites, according to Johannes Agrippa, were created by God at the dawn of creation. These mystic rituals were designed to bring about the full enlightenment of mankind and usher in a golden age. These rites however are also powerful as they are said to be the purest form of magic and thus were scattered into several lesser rituals and occult lore and this secret was given to a select few as humanity was not yet ready to learn and use them. These select few are known as the Secret Watchers according to Johannes Agrippa and they guarded the secrets of the rites until Johannes was chosen by them to learn the rites, restore them in the mundane world, and spread them for the benefit of mankind.

The Aeon Rites are currently practiced by the members of the AOAR from the Book of Aeon that was written by Johannes. Despite the order keeping the rites to themselves, many learned occultists and magicians know of the rites. However, only the AOAR knows all of the secrets of the rites and can make use of them for performing magic. It is said the magic of the rites is subtle but strong and makes ample use of astrological positions, Pythagorean numerology, and symbols. This allows AOAR members to cast spells and perform rituals with less difficulty.
