Azothic memory

Azothic memory is the collective memory and subconscious of Prometheans and the basis of their shared history and culture. It gives them an inherent understanding of their existence and of the Pilgrimage, as well as assisting a newborn Created with mastering basic skills such as language and self-care. Through meditation, Athanors, or certain Distillations, the Created can delve deeper into the Azothic memory in an attempt to access specific information.

The basic Refinements are part of Azothic memory. Extempores are unable to access Azothic memory except when they belong to a Branded throng, which makes their Pilgrimages that much harder.^[1]
