Until the Mongols sacked the city it was the Mokteshaf Al Nour's capital.[1] While in the past year the city has become of special interest to the Void Engineers when a previously unknown portal was uncovered. A crater thought to have been buried as long ago as the thirteen century, released extradimensional entities into the world when uncovered, causing a major incident. Now, the hastily constructed West Asian Defense Center sits near the site, monitoring it for incursions while Border Corps Division scientists attempt to spin reasons why the Masses cannot enter the area.[2]

Hunter: the Reckoning

Because of incredible political instability this city's Arcanum Chapter House has been undercover for quite a while, and has only minimal staffing.[3] Baghdad is also one of the traditional Islamic strongholds the Ikhwan al-Safa safeguards.[4]
