Cameron Chandler

Cameron Chandler is a Homid Ragabash Children of Gaia Monkeywrecher. [1]

Biography

Cameron is a Ragabash born and bred. He sees life as a tremendous game of Cops 'N' Robbers, and Pentex has not caught him at his game yet. He loves the thrill of the chase. He's even excited about the fact that a Pentex-funded assassin is chasing him, and can't wait to show him up. He has perhaps grown too lax in his guard.

Cameron owns a debt of honor to a Glass Walker Philodox named Devnull, who made him promise to raid any computers Magadon might have and return with whatever Wyrm data he finds.

Appearance

Cameron is a 6'5" black man with an almost alien thinness to him. His long, supple legs and arms seem to mover with liquid fluidity. He prefers to wear loose-fitting athletic clothes; they provide him with the freedom of movement he craves.

Cameron’s Cache

  • Mirrors of the Neuromancer
    Fetish, Level 3, Gnosis 7
These twin mirrors, mounted in eyeglass frames, allow a Garou to step sideways directly into the cybernetic realm surrounding a computer. The Garou appears “Chromed” for a brief moment before vanishing in a swirl of high-resolution pixels. She materializes inside the cybernetic realm of the nearest computer. Once there, she can manipulate the machine directly.
  • Checkered Whistle
    Fetish, Level 1, Gnosis 6
This whistle summons the nearest taxi, no matter how far away it may be. As if by coincidence, the driver just happens to be driving by the blower's location. Waiting time for the cab is 30 minutes minus (five times the number of activation successes), but always at least one minute. This whistle has been known to summon free rides when no taxicabs are available, but it's usually best if the passenger pays for the ride.
  • White Lightning
    Talen, Level 4, Gnosis 5
This potent talen contains three spirits. One is a Bit, the tiniest form of net-spider. The bit is capable of counting (slowly) down from 20. When the Bit reaches zero, it tells the Spark (the iniest form of electricity elemental) in the nearby nodule to release itself from the stone that holds it. The Spark has one direction to go: into a chamber of liquefied, concentrated explosive. This liquid is the spirit of a fire elemenal bound into petroleum and concentrated under pressure in a glass container. The resulting explosion is quite intense.
Upon activating the talen, A Garou has 20 seconds to flee the blast radius. The talen cannot be activated in any other way. If the glass vial is broken without being properly activated, the liquid inside does no damage and quickly evaporates in the open air.
When the talen is properly activated, its damage Dice Pool is 30 dice at ground zero. Each yard between characters and the blast reduces the damage Dice Pool by one die. The explosion tends to do tremendous damage to machinery and stonework.
This kind of explosive is extremelys table, but very difficult, risky and expensive to build. It is a measure of the importance accorded this mission that one White Lightning cylinder is being spared for it.
  • Coyote Bag
    Fetish, Level 3, Gnosis 6
This is a small, nondescript woven medicine bag usually worn on a necklace. A garou who successfully operates the fetish can draw a coyote tooth from the bag (without looking at it), hold it in the palm of her hand and wait. The tooth usually begins to feel warm, especially when an especially good "trick" is needed. When the Garou feels the time is "right," she opens her palm and a present from Coyote appears. Sometimes this present seems totally useless (a door key), but later proves very important (it opens a certain door). Sometimes the gift is a "joke" (an exploding cigar). Sometimes it's incredibly useful (a Garou Pathstone). Sometimes it causes great trouble (an Ahroun's underwear). One never knows what one will pull out of the Coyote Bag.
The Storyteller decides what emerges from the Coyote Bag and may use an activation roll's successes to determine how useful the produced item it. Things pulled from the bag are rarely permanent. They are usually taken or stolen, vanish, dissolve or are otherwise lost.
Use the Coyote Bag as a way to inject humor, speed plotlines, break characters from ruts and have characters do other thing sof which Coyote approves. Remember: Coyote is a trickster and seeks to guide his Children indirectly. Nuwisha (werecoyotes) will try to trick a Garou out of his Coyote Bag, only to give it back after winning it. Nuwisha are notorious for producing interesting and valuable things from Coyote Bags.
As long as the activation roll is made, there is always a coyote tooth in the bag. If characters want to abuse this gift, they run the risk of annoying Coyote....
  • Sheath of the Chameleon
    Fetish, Level 1, Gnosis 4
This klaive sheath appears to made from lizard hide. It is supple and fits the shape of even the most ornate klaive.
When activated, the sheath cloaks a klaive or other large, bladed weapon from normal humans (and animals') sight and perception. Of course, vampires, other Garou and mages can detect the weapon, but most normal people (including police and security guards) do not notice the blade while its' in the sheath. Even metal detectors fail to register its presence. This fetish must be reactivated each time the blade is drawn and returned.
  • Tears of Renewal
    Fetish, Level 5, Gnosis 8
This is a large rock crystal on a leather thong. Each night, the crystal condenses moisture, which hardens into small crystal tears. When allowed to melt on the tongue, the teats return spent Gnosis. Each crystal teardrop returns one Gnosis point. The fetish can generate a number of tears per night equal to its Gnosis, not add to permanent Gnosis. Furthermore, the Gaffling that fuels this fetish can only produce a maximum of 23 Gnosis points before it must be "recharged" by a Rite of Binding.
